This Partner Marketing Toolkit will cover the basics of how Plex will work with you on a variety of marketing deliverables — from press releases to social media, case studies and more — along with details on who to reach out to for joint marketing projects.

PLEX BRAND GUIDELINES
The Plex brand identity is bold, simple, and efficient and positions us as the smart ones behind the smart manufacturing revolution. Sharp, consistent use of brand elements helps us show off these smarts. Details on our tone of voice, logo, colors, typography, and more — along with examples — are provided in our Brand Guide.
When it comes to mentioning Plex and our products in your communications, keep these brand essentials in mind:
• Use “Plex, by Rockwell Automation” on first mention.
• Use “Plex” on all subsequent mentions.
• “The Plex Smart Manufacturing PlatformTM” may also be used when referring to our product.
• Hyperlink the first mention of “Plex” to www.plex.com.

Reach out to your Plex Marketing contact to discuss any communications and/or materials that mention Plex and/or Plex customers prior to development and plan to submit them for approval by the Plex Marketing team prior to distribution. Reviews can take 7–10 business days, so be sure to build that lead time into your marketing plans and reach out to your marketing contact as early as possible.

Additional Guidelines
Press Release Boilerplate
The Plex boilerplate should be included on all joint press releases. Reach out to your Plex Marketing contact to request a copy of the most current version.
Case Studies
If a case study has been published on Plex.com, please feel free to share the story through your social media channels without seeking prior approval, but reach out to your Plex Marketing contact for guidance on all other uses. If you have a customer who has an interesting story and is interested in the reference program, please click here to submit the customer information via our online submission form.
Videos
Video content may require additional Plex approvals, so be sure to discuss your content ahead of time with Plex Marketing to determine if Plex Education Services and/or the Plex Customer Success team will need to review the video before publication.
SOCIAL MEDIA
When promoting jointly developed content (such as webinars, press releases, blog posts, papers, etc.), be sure to tag Plex on the appropriate social media platform. Plex may also engage or repost the content as determined by the Plex Marketing team.
Special Consideration for Hashtags
Use hashtags related to the specific topic or trending topic referenced in the post. Preferred hashtags when referencing Plex (aim for 2–3 per post; these are optional):
• #smartmanufacturing
• #manufacturing
• #MFG
• #manufacturers
• #ensw
Important: Do NOT use #Plex and note that #PlexSystems is not an actively managed hashtag at this time. Plex prefers the channels be directly tagged if mentioned.
